New Principal Announcement
Greetings, Doerre Warriors!
My name is Annie Welday-Zimney, and I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Doerre Intermediate School, the flagship intermediate school of Klein ISD!
I am serving in my seventeenth year as an educator and have been a proud member of the Klein Family for the past eleven years. I have served as a Klein Oak teacher, a Klein Cain ELA Instructional Specialist and Assistant Principal, and most recently, the Associate Principal of Curriculum & Instruction at Klein High School. My passion for education is rooted in providing all students with an excellent education that motivates them to be their very best in the classroom and in their character. I consider it a privilege to enrich, empower, and make a positive impact on the lives of students, and I am honored to serve our Doerre Warriors!
My husband and I have two beautiful daughters. As a mom, I want what is best for my children, and I approach serving our school community with the mindset and passion of an engaged parent as well as an educator. I will spend each day keeping students at the heart of everything we do and partnering with our families to make our school the very best it can be for our kids.
Doerre has a tradition of excellence in academics, the arts, and athletics, and I am eager to meet the amazing staff, students, and parents of our Doerre community. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming events and working with you to continue to make Doerre the absolute best school for our students and community.
